Corinna Rosella#newmoon in Leo. The lion 🦁 has been a pretty powerful force in my life, for better or worse. To celebrate I collected flowers from my yard, gathered the foraged sage and rosemary from my friends yard redwood valley, and made a tincture of lavender, chamomile, catnip and a lot of peppermint. I also added a bit of feverfew for its headache relieving powers. I made some of this tincture last fall (minus the feverfew) and was told by many that it was magical so I'm making more! Rituals are a part of survival for some of us. Connecting with the earth and feeling that raw sensation, duality of joy and pain, how the release feels the same, all that comes with being a human being in a living, breathing body and being imperfect living in this toxic word. Yes, we move forward and we grow ❤️ #witchcraft#witchesofinstagram#healingwithherbs#selfcareritual#growth#rootsrundeep#magic#herbalmagic#healing#witchesofinstagram🔮🌙
Who is that hungry or has the time to eat five small meals a day I use to say20 years ago and almost 20 pounds heavier. Today I realize that weight is an indicator of being out of balance, whether physically, emotionally spiritually and/ or energetically. Eating five small meals helps the body stay balanced and in return minimizes hormonal issues, adrenal fatigue and helps immune function which not only helps me maintain a healthy weight but a way for me to be proactive in cancer prevention. Sickness and disease is only 5% inherited. Inherited diseases come from adapting the same behaviorisms as our ancestors. It is our unconscious and conscious habits, conditions and reflexes that activate certain Genes and DNA. Cancer is a manifestation of being spiritually imbalanced. Such paradox Times for me as I come back into my fathers life to watch him loose his final battle to cancer. Over 10x a cancer survivor. But-Today and everyday I am grateful to not fall victim to ancestral karma. ✨🙌✨🙌✨🙌✨After workout Power Punch Vanilla Plant Infusion Phood. One huge component of my healing journey has been the incorporation of herbs into my diet. When I go to the grocery store half my cart consists of fresh herbs. Food is really expensive here in Hong Kong but I have been lucky enough to snag most herbs half price due to a short shelf life. While I would love to grow more of my own herbs, buying them will have to do for now. I love this new book by @rosaleedelaforet called Alchemy of Herbs. Rosalee has taught me new ways to use herbs in my everyday life with fun recipes like digestive pastilles, cinnamon toothpaste, ginger massage oil, ashwaganda ghee, astralagus bone broth and holy basil syrup. Really amazing stuff. If you are on a your own healing journey and haven't added herbs to the mix maybe these powerful beauties are the missing link to your solution.
Mint and Aloe still thriving in this hot and humid weather. Aloe vera contains many vitamins and minerals vital for proper growth and function of all the body’s systems. Here’s an easy explanation of aloe vera’s active components: Aloe vera contains antioxidant vitamins A, C and E — plus vitamin B12, folic acid and choline. It contains eight enzymes, including aliiase, alkaline phosphatase, amylase, bradykinase, carboxypeptidase, catalase, cellulase, lipase and peroxidase. Minerals such as calcium, copper, selenium, chromium, manganese, magnesium, potassium, sodium and zinc are present in aloe vera. It provides 12 anthraquinones — or compounds known as laxatives. Among these are aloin and emodin, which act as analgesics, antibacterials and antivirals. Four fatty acids are present, including cholesterol, campesterol, beta-sisosterol and lupeol — all providing anti-inflammatory results. The hormones called auxins and gibberellins are present; they help with healing wounds and have anti-inflammatory properties. Aloe vera provides sugars, such as monosaccharides (glucose and fructose) and polysaccharides.
