What objections do you have to letting go of weight loss goals? I'd love to know! Most of my clients come to realise weight loss goals actually cause their compulsive eating. And cause them to judge themselves according to what they eat, and how much they weigh, how they look, their dress size. How clever of the diet industry - make people feel their body is 'wrong', and that anyone can have a thin body if they try hard enough, and suggest that everybody can see the effects of their greed and laziness in their waistlines. Make them feel ashamed and desperate to change. Then you can sell them the 'solution'. But the 'solution' (restriction) just makes everything worse. Makes you think about food all the time : what you shouldn't eat, how much you can eat, what you can eat, what you want to eat etc. Plus, you're really, really hungry. It's just a matter of time til you find yourself at the bottom of the biscuit barrel, thinking 'it's all gone to hell, I might as well eat all the food, diet starts again tomorrow'. And the cycle repeats itself over and over again. If you let go of those weight loss goals you would be free. You would have energy and time to live your life. You would have time to have fun. Er.......My crazy OCD comes in really handy sometimes. I'm really craving structure and organisation around my food and exercise at the moment. So I've just spent the last two hours prepping my food for the week. From chaos comes order as the saying goes. I know everything we do has it's own time and place and I really couldn't have imagined I would ever enjoy this process again (I stopped being super organised around my food years ago), but I'm really enjoying fuelling my body and the ease of having everything prepped and ready to eat throughout the week. This way is eating us not for everyone and it may not be for me in a couple of months time, so right now I'm enjoying the change up! 💜💜💜 This is what I made:- Steak, mushrooms and roasted beets. Lemon cod and squash. Turkey burgers with crumbled feta. A huge chopped garden salad. Spicy coleslaw. Some salmon dishes snuck in there too! I'm gonna have a lie down now!
